La Danza refers to a style of stately elegant ballroom dancing which reveals the romantic, passionate and sentimental culture, which takes place every year in Bridgeport, CT. The exquisite event originated in 19th century Puerto Rico and reflects European influence in its graceful traditions.

In the past 12 years La Danza has embraced the concept of “Linking Cultures”. Every year La Danza honors another Latin country and celebrates our diversities through dance, music and unity.
The proceeds generated by La Danza supports the La Danza Scholarship Fund that is managed by the Greater Bridgeport Area Foundation. The scholarships are open to all graduating high schools students of all nationalities who plan to pursue a career in the arts and have demonstrated a strong interest in artistic areas.
